The canal du midi, at 500 meter of the campsite in Vias

The Canal du Midi in the Hérault is located only 500 m from our campsite in Vias Plage, it is the second French history canal created by Pierre-Paul Riquet. This waterway consists of 130 bridges, and is stretched out from the Etang de Thau, near Sete to Toulouse over 240 kilometers. A work completed in 1681 and has been classified by the patrimony of UNESCO, that allows to spend whole days along the tarred ways on foot or by bike or even with rollers.

A privileged place in the Languedoc Roussillon for our joggers whom wish to run safely. Take the time to discover the rich fauna and flora that this long band of water offers you between the beautiful landscapes.

You want to go for a boat trip, no problem. Our campsite in Vias is located 450 metres from a small marina Cassafières where you can rent small boats with or without a license for an outing with the family on the Canal du Midi. A day of relaxation is offered, along the famous locks of Fonseranes in Béziers, and continuing in the régio Midi Pyrenees with the Pont du Gard and the Cité of Carcassonne that are part of the most famous places of the Canal du Midi.
